The most powerful aspect of filmmaking is collaboration. One of the special collaborations I have had over the years is creating films with composer Randy Miller. Randy and I had first met when he scored the Sundance Channel's AMARGOSA, a feature documentary I shot directed by Todd Robinson. Randy and I have since gone on to collaborate on my short films ANNIVERSARY and WAITING FOR GOODBYE along with numerous commercial and corporate branded content.

Speaking directly to the use of music in filmmaking, I have shared with Randy my appreciation of a proper score to enhance the storytelling and audience experience in this way - "I can see the most poignant image and it will move me. But I when I sit in a darkened room and hear a simple melody, I will cry until my eyes run dry."

Randy's music is a blessing for the audiences who are fortunate to experience his talent. I was able to film Randy for a documentary on the elements of filmmaking and I am pleased to share with you a couple of clips of Randy performing "Bruce's Theme".
